Born January 17, 1973 in the Nation’s Capital of Washington, DC, Pastor McCray’s walk with the Lord has been nurtured and established under the tutelage of his Christian family unit. Being a third (3rd) generation Baptist Preacher, the love and linkage to the community of faith has been part and parcel of his entire life.
He is a former primary and secondary educator for Magnum Charter Schools in Philadelphia, PA from 1997 – 1999, and is also an Apprentice of Mortuary. His commitment to Public Pastoral Ministry began in January of 2000, when he accepted the call to be the tenth (10th) Pastor in the one hundred tenth (110th ) year old history of the Historic Second (2nd) Baptist Church, in Philadelphia, PA, where the late Dr. T. Robert Washington, former first (1st) Vice President of the Progressive National Baptist Convention (PNBC), served as Pastor for fifty (50) years. Through his humble, yet dynamic leadership, “Ole Second” grew in immeasurable ways for six (6) years.
In the fall of 2006, he accepted his second (2nd) Pastoral assignment and was called to serve his present congregation, Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Temple Hills, MD (formerly, Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Washington, DC). God continues to bless Pastor McCray with preaching and teaching power; singing and musical talents along with leadership abilities to serve this present age. Pastor McCray serves as the following: Executive Board Member for the Mount Bethel Baptist Association and Honorary Trustee of the ICUA (Interdenominational Church Ushers Association) of Washington, DC.
He is the proud father of his God-Given children; Arielle Foster, Zion Phillip, Shiloh Madison, and McKinley Morgan. Pastor McCray is a sought after preacher, lecturer, and revivalist, sharing the Good News of Jesus across the country. He believes in the Power of God to Save, Set Free, and Heal
